MaghSoutheast of Vulpinsula, just on the marked edge of the Sea of Pleasentries, is the large and forbodeing isle of Magh. Large because, for its lonesome position in the sea, it could rival Resolution for size. Forbodeing due to its enigmatic nature. Magh is the known headquarters of the Ministry of Innovation, and there is rumor they keep their secret labs in tunnels beneath the island's surface. It is unknown what exactly goes on beyond Merith Cove, Magh's lone port, and anybeast that has ventured into the island's interior has never been seen again.
Noteworthy (and non-confidential) locations on Magh include:
Many believe that Magh is also a training ground for the Ministry of Misanthropy's most elite guards. It's secrecy and seclusion make it the perfect place to train the ultimate fighting beasts.
Opponents of this theory say that nobody who has lived around Innovation employees for any length of time would be able to fit into normal society. To which many rejoinder that the Ministry of Misanthropy has built a 24/35ths scale replica of the Bilge in the Bucket filled with skilled actors.
Zedar Pinklestein? reportedly trained as a small bush for seven months, then journeyed to Magh where he hid in the forests. When he returned three months later, he wrote "Journey to the Mystery Next Door?", a book about his foray which was immediately suppressed by all government authorities. Those who have read the book say that it is an agonizingly disappointing, detailed account of the insect life on Magh, with no reference to the of-interest happenings on the island. Though, they say, there is an entertaining bit where Pinklestein attempts to maintain his bush-cover while stowed away on a ship.
